The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed amendment, PC 18-2, at its October 26, 2017, public hearing and recommended approval, subject to the applicant’s voluntary contribution of $500 per additional dwelling unit for affordable housing, transportation improvements and meeting with School board safety staff regarding the intersection of Southwest 172 Avenue and Bass Creek Road (Vote of the Planning Council: 11-4; Yes: Blattner, Brunson, Castillo, DiGiorgio, Ganz, Gomez, Rosenof, Rosenzweig, Udine, Williams and Stermer. No: Blackwelder, Good, Graham and Grosso.) and also recommended approval at its January 25, 2018, public hearing, subject to the applicant’s voluntary contribution of $500 per additional dwelling unit for affordable housing and transportation improvements (Vote of the Planning Council: 12-3; Yes: Blattner, Breslau, Brunson, Castillo, DiGiorgio, Ganz, Gomez, Rosenof, Rosenzweig, Udine, Williams and Stermer. Approximately 120.0 acres; generally located on the southwest corner of Southwest 172 Avenue and Bass Creek Road.
