MOTION TO APPROVE travel for more than five County employees from the same department to attend the same non-local event on the attached summary, in accordance with Volume 1 of the Administrative Code - Chapter 3, Part II, Section 3.10 - County Employee Travel.

ACTION:  (T-11:01 AM)  Approved.  

VOTE:  9-0.

Board approval is required for more than five County employees from the same department to attend the same event, unless the event is in the Tri-County area.

Provides approval of travel for ten County employees for a State issued mandatory training in Lake Mary, Florida.

THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
 
In accordance with the procedures outlined in Volume 1 of the Administrative Code, Chapter 3, Part II, Section 3.10 - Travel, Board approval is required for ten Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department staff to attend a mandatory Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Tank Inspector Training Conference, scheduled for April 3-5, 2018, in Lake Mary, Florida. The State of Florida has requested that all Environmental and Consumer Protection Division Storage Tank Facility inspectors attend the training, which will ensure compliance with the Compliance Verification Contract (Contract GC920).

There are no registration fees for this training and the FDEP will reimburse the County for travel costs.
