A. MOTION TO APPROVE final ranking of the qualified firm, Pro Sound Inc. d/b/a Pro Sound and Video, for Request for Letters of Interest (RLI) No. TEC2115809R1, EOC Communications Modernization Project for the Broward County Emergency Operations Center, and authorize negotiation of the final agreement.

B. MOTION TO AUTHORIZE Director of Purchasing to execute the final negotiated agreement.

A. In accordance with Broward County procurement Code, Section 21.84.h., final ranking of qualified firms requires Board action.

B. In accordance with Broward County procurement Code, Section 21.14.c.6, the Director of Purchasing shall execute agreements delegated by the Board.

A and B. Approves the Selection Committee's recommendation of the final ranking of qualified firms and authorizes the Director of Purchasing to execute the negotiated agreement.

THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE SELECTION COMMITTEE RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This procurement was solicited to engage the services of a qualified firm to provide engineering and design services, labor, materials (including all cabling required), and equipment to modernize the audio visual and television broadcast capabilities of the Broward County Emergency Operations Center.

On January 23, 2018 (Item No. 37), the Board approved the Request for Letters of Interest (RLI) No. TEC2115809R1. Four firms submitted proposals in response to the RLI.

On March 2, 2018, a Combination Shortlist and Presentation Ranking was held. The Selection Committee short-listed and accepted the ranked firm, Pro Sound Inc. d/b/a Pro Sound and Video (Exhibit 1).

The Selection Committee's proposed recommendation of ranking will be  posted on the Purchasing Division website from March 5, 2018 through March 7, 2018, which provides an opportunity for any proposer or interested party to present any new or additional information regarding the responsibility of the proposers. The Selection Committee's final recommendation of ranking will also be  posted on the Purchasing Division website from March 8, 2018 through March 14, 2018, which also provides an opportunity for any aggrieved proposer to file a formal protest.

Due to the manufacturing and shipping lead times for critical pieces of audio visual equipment, the execution of the negotiated agreement by the Director of Purchasing is recommended.
