MOTION TO APPROVE Third Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement between Broward County and Academy Street Collaboration, LLC extending the agreement retroactively from November 14, 2017 to May 13, 2018, and increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $124,350, from $87,600 to $211,950, and authorize Mayor and Clerk to execute same.

Board of County Commissioners' approval is required for contracts for professional services of multi-year contracts that exceed $200,000 in accordance with Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.31.b.2

Summary Explanation/Background
THE GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU (GFLCVB) AND THE PURCHASING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Purchasing Director approved Academy Street Collaboration, LLC as a reasonable source to provide services in the specialized area of destination marketing and on February 6, 2017, the Agreement with Academy Street Collaboration, LLC to provide consultant and advisory services to the GFLCVB, from February 6, 2017 to May 7, 2017, in the estimated amount of $43,850 was approved.

On May 5, 2017, the Purchasing Director approved the First Amendment to the Agreement extending the term of the contract through November 13, 2017 and increasing the value of the contract to $67,500.

On June 30, 2017, the Purchasing Director approved the Second Amendment to the Agreement to allow an increase to the authorized reimbursable expenses, increasing the value of the contract to $87,600.

The proposed Amendment will provide for continued consultant and advisory services to the GFLCVB. The amendment will retroactively extend the term of the agreement from November 14, 2017 to to May 13, 2018 and will increase the not-to-exceed maximum to $211,950.
