A. MOTION TO CONSIDER APPROVAL of a plat entitled Woodmont Pod B, F & G (036-MP-16).

ACTION:  (T-10:27 AM)  Approved the plat subject to staff’s recommendations as outlined in the Development Review Report.
 
VOTE: 8-0.  Commissioner Ryan was not present during the vote.

B. MOTION TO CONSIDER APPROVAL of an agreement between Broward County, City of Tamarac and Pulte Home Company for the issuance of building permits prior to plat recordation for the Woodmont Pod B, F & G (036-MP-16). (Commission District 3)

ACTION:  (T-10:27 AM)  Approved.

Why Action is Necessary
Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (Land Development Code) requires plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
What Action Accomplishes
Approves the plat subject to staff recommendations and conditions assuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Broward County Land Development Code, and allows for construction of two (2) dry model units.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will assure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 62 single family detached units on approximately 13.4 acres, located on both the east and west sides of Northwest 80 Avenue, west of University Drive, in the City of Tamarac. See attached Development Review Report (Exhibit 1).

The attached Tri-Party Agreement (Exhibit 2) allows the developer to obtain building permits for two (2) dry models prior to the recordation of the plat. The agreement has been executed by the City of Tamarac and approved by the County Attorney’s Office.  A letter of credit in the amount of $46,270 was submitted to secure the removal of the two (2) dry models should the plat not be recorded by June 12, 2018 as a required by the Land Development Code.
