MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2017-532 directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of a Public Hearing to be held on December 5, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., to consider adoption of a proposed Resolution amending the Administrative Rules Document: Broward County Land Use Plan.

VOTE:  8-0.  Commissioner LaMarca was not present.

The Broward County Charter requires the posting of notice and a public hearing for adoption of amendments to certain articles of the Administrative Rules Document.

The Resolution will set a public hearing to revise the Administrative Rules Document to reflect BrowardNext.

Summary Explanation/Background
At its meeting of April 27, 2017, the Planning Council initiated an update of the Administrative Rules Document to reflect the BrowardNext - Broward County Land Use Plan adoption on April 25, 2017. The Planning Council considered this update at its October 26, 2017, meeting, and recommended approval per the Combined Executive and Land Use/Trafficways Committees recommendation (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 16-0; Blackwelder, Blattner, Brunson, Castillo, DiGiorgio, Ganz, Gomez, Good, Graham, Grosso, Rosenof, Rosenzweig, Seiler, Udine, Williams and Stermer). 

If the County Commission sets the Public Hearing, the revised and updated Administrative Rules Document will be presented in its entirety as an Exhibit for contextual purposes.

Fiscal Impact
Fiscal Impact/Cost Summary:
The proposed fee update will result in an increase of fees collected from applicants, except for Trafficways Plan amendments and waivers. The actual impact will be based on the number of applications and requests received by the Planning Council.
