THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS AND BOARDS SECTION OF COUNTY ADMINISTRATION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On September 11, 2012, the Board created the Central County Community Advisory Board (CCCAB) with membership from the four neighborhoods comprising the Central County Community. Four of the members are the presidents of the recognized neighborhood associations - the Boulevard Gardens Homeowner’s Association, Friends of Franklin Park, Roosevelt Gardens Homeowner’s Association and Washington Park Civic Association.
The creating Resolution also provided for four residents to serve as members of the CCCAB. A single resident from each of the four neighborhoods may be appointed to the CCCAB. The Intergovernmental Affairs and Boards Section, in cooperation with the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department (EPGM), developed an application for submission by residents desiring appointment to the CCCAB. Applications are distributed to the neighborhood associations' meeting places when a vacancy occurs.
Ms. Linda Taylor is a Roosevelt Gardens resident. Her application was reviewed by the County Attorney's Office and she qualifies to serve on the CCCAB.
The County Attorney's qualification memorandum for Ms. Taylor is included as Exhibit 1.
