MOTION TO FILE Quarterly Financial Report for the Children’s Services Council of Broward County for the quarter ending September 30, 2017.

ACTION:  (T-10:45 AM)  Approved.
 
VOTE: 9-0.  Commissioners Geller and Holness voted in the affirmative telephonically. 

In accordance with Florida Statutes §125.901(3)(f) and Laws of Florida, Chapter 2000-461, Section 4(6), the Children’s Services Council of Broward County is required to file a Quarterly Financial Report with the Board.

THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The quarterly financial report for the quarter ended September 30, 2017 for the Children’s Services Council is attached as Exhibit 1. For the quarter ending September 30, 2017, the Children’s Services Council had total receipts of $2,074,159 and total expenditures of $23,407,240. Administrative costs for the quarter totaled $647,710. During the same period, $24,542,624 was invested or deposited. In addition to the statutory requirements, as requested by the Board on May 14, 2013 (Item No. 32), budget amendments and unaudited financial statements through August 31, 2017 (most recent available) are also attached as Exhibit 2.
