Summary Explanation/Background
The Broward County Office of the Medical Examiner and Trauma Services ("Office of the Medical Examiner") required additional refrigerated space to maintain operations due to the potential increase of deaths following Hurricane Irma. Nationwide Haul agreed to donate a refrigerated semitrailer for the period of time beginning Friday, September 8, 2017, and ending Friday, September 15, 2017. The Office of the Medical Examiner benefited from and used the donation in the course and scope of its duties.

Due to the time restrictions and emergency need for additional refrigeration storage, the Office of the Medical Examiner was unable to provide advance notice of the donation. This Resolution accepts the donation retroactive to September 8, 2017.
