THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will assure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.
The applicant is requesting approval of an application for new findings of adequacy to develop 26 garden apartments, six live/work townhouse units and 3,000 square feet of commercial use on approximately 1.9 acres, located on the south side of Northeast 14 Court, between Northeast 5 Terrace and Northeast 7 Avenue, in the City of Ft. Lauderdale. The plat was approved on April 18, 2006 for 33 townhouse units, with the requirement that either a building permit be issued or the infrastructure be installed by April 18, 2011. The property remains vacant, and the findings of adequacy expired. See attached Development Review Report.
