Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL

West Cypress Creek Road is a County road in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The City desires to install a City entranceway sign within County right-of-way in the median of West Cypress Creek Road approximately 400 feet east of NW 34th Avenue. The revocable license agreement will allow the City to install the sign in a four-foot by 12-foot area within County right-of-way and will obligate the City to maintain the sign. The agreement also allows the County to terminate the agreement with or without cause at any time. If the agreement is terminated, the City must remove all improvements within the licensed right-of-way and restore the property. The City executed the agreement on December 8, 2016 and subsequently, provided all required documents to the County in July 2017, and this agreement is now ready for the Board of County Commissioners’ consideration.

The agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney and the Risk Management Division.
