THE OFFICE OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.
The Homeless Continuum of Care Board (HCOC) is composed of 29 voting/nonvoting members, including 20 members who are nominated by specific entities for approval by the Board of County Commissioners. One voting member category provides for a United Way of Broward County representative to serve on the HCOC.
The following nomination has been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the HCOC pursuant to Section 12.153(a)4, Broward County Administrative Code:
- Maria Hernandez nominated as the United Way of Broward County Representative.
Ms. Hernandez was nominated by United Way of Broward County to serve on the HCOC on May 16, 2017. The County Attorney has determined that Ms. Hernandez qualifies for appointment. See Exhibit 1, attached. |
