MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2017-389 directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on September 14, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., to consider enactment of an Ordinance adopting a Small Scale land use plan amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan of the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, PC 17-12, located in the City of Wilton Manors (Commission District 7), the substance of which is as follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SMALL SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN WITHIN THE CITY OF WILTON MANORS; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners to be held subsequent to receipt of a recommendation from the Broward County Planning Council prior to adoption of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.
What Action Accomplishes
The Resolution directs the County Administrator to set a public hearing for September 14, 2017, to consider adoption of proposed Broward County Land Use Plan map amendment PC 17-12, which is a small scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan.

The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed small scale amendment, PC 17-12, and recommended approval at its May 25, 2017, public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; 13-4; Yes: Blattner, Castillo, de Jesus, DiGiorgio, Ganz, Gomez, Graham,  Rosenof, Rosenzweig, Ryan, Udine, Williams and Stermer. No: Blackwelder, Good, Grosso and Seiler), and also recommended approval at its June 22, 2017, public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; 10-3; Yes: Brunson, Castillo, Ganz, Good, Graham, Rosenof, Rosenzweig, Ryan, Williams and DiGiorgio. No: Blackwelder, Grosso and Seiler):

AMENDMENT PC 17-12
Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan - City of Wilton Manors

From Commerce to Irregular (18) Residential

Approximately 4.9 acres; generally located on the south side of Northeast 26 Street, between Northeast 15 Avenue and Northeast 16 Avenue.
