MOTION TO AWARD fixed contract to low bidder, GS Equipment, Inc., DBA Great Southern Equipment Company, for Vacuum Sewer Cleaning Truck, Bid No. Y2114070B1, for Water and Wastewater Services, in the amount of $398,870.

ACTION:  (T-10:19 AM)  Approved.
 
VOTE: 9-0.

In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.31.a.4., the Board is required to approve all purchases exceeding $250,000 per annum or $400,000 in a multi-year period.

None.

THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Office of Economic and Small Business Development did not reserve this project for Small Business Enterprises under the Sheltered Market Program, nor assign County Business Enterprise participation goals to this solicitation (Exhibit 2).

The purpose of the contract is to supply and deliver a vacuum sewer cleaning truck to be utilized by Water and Wastewater Services. 

Water and Wastewater Services has reviewed the bid submitted by GS Equipment, Inc. DBA Great Southern Equipment Company and concurs with the recommendation for award (Exhibit 3). There are no performance evaluations for GS Equipment, Inc. DBA Great Southern Equipment Company.

There was no protest or appeal filed regarding this procurement.

The bid posted on April 12, 2017 and opened on May 22, 2017; two bids were received with no declinations (Exhibit 1).
