The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed amendment, PC 17-7, at its February 23, 2017, public hearing and recommended approval, subject to the resolution of the issue of consistency with BCLUP Policy 1.07.07 regarding affordable housing, prior to the Planning Council's second public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council: Unanimous; 14-0; Blackwelder, Blattner, Castillo, DiGiorgio, Fink, Gomez, Good, Graham, Grosso, McColgan, Parness, Udine, Williams and Stermer) and also recommended approval at its May 25, 2017, public hearing, subject to the applicant’s voluntary contribution of $250 per dwelling unit for affordable housing (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 14-0; Blackwelder, Castillo, DiGiorgio, Ganz, Gomez, Good, Graham, Grosso, Rosenof, Rosenzweig, Ryan, Seiler, Williams and Stermer).

Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan - City of Plantation
From Commercial to a Dashed-Line Area consisting of 20.0 acres of Commerce and 2.62 acres of Irregular (12.6) Residential
Approximately 26.26 acres; generally located on the east side of Pine Island Road, between Peters Road and Interstate 595.
Further, if the County Commission sets the Public Hearing, the full amendment report and associated attachments will be included as exhibits to the public hearing item.
