The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed amendment, PC 17-5, at its March 23, 2017, public hearing and recommended approval, subject to the applicant’s voluntary commitment regarding recreation and open space and community facilities acreage (Vote of the Planning Council; 15-1; Yes: Blattner, Brunson, Castillo, de Jesus, DiGiorgio, Fink, Ganz, Gomez, Good, Graham, Grosso, McColgan, Udine, Williams and Stermer. From 108.7 acres of Commercial Recreation and 0.3 acres of Medium-High (25) Residential to Irregular (3.81) Residential
Approximately 109.0 acres; generally located on the west side of Military Trail, north of Crystal Lake Drive.
